St Peter's Lutheran School

We offer a safe Christian environment that endeavours to provide a diverse learning environment that nurtures mutual respect, love and care.

Our school is unique as it is a small school with small class sizes and a low pupil-to-teacher ratio. This allows us to devote the most time possible to each student and contributes to the sense of family within our school. Our classrooms are well-equipped with updated resources including a fleet of modern laptops and iPads, allowing students one-to-one access to these devices. Touchscreen televisions in each classroom are well utilised in our teaching and learning activities.

At St Peter's Lutheran Primary School we have a rigorous and challenging curriculum. Our experienced and carefully appointed teachers have a wide range of expertise, skills, and knowledge which we have incorporated into our broad and stimulating curriculum.

From the Principal - Friday 19th April 2024

Welcome to Term 2!

Term 2

Week one of term 2 has already been and gone. There is lots of exciting things happening during this term including ANZAC Day, Cross Country, Mother’s Day, dance with Justin, hospital visits, students from the High School completing work experience with us, National Simultaneous Storytime, athletics carnival, and Lightning Premierships. We are looking forward to a busy but exciting term. More information for all these events will go home with students closer to the time.

Staffing

As you’re all aware, Ms. Holly Ross finished up with us at the end of term 2. This of course has made room for an exciting new staff member. We are excited to let you all know that Lucinda Newton is our new junior room teachers aide. Lucinda is a qualified nurse but has also had experience as a teachers aide at Dimboola Memorial Secondary College. If you see Lucinda around the school, please say hello and make her feel welcomed into our school community.

We’d also like to welcome Mrs. Gallagher back from maternity leave. Mrs. Gallagher will be in the senior classroom on a Monday and Tuesday and will also be at school on a Friday morning.

ANZAC Day Student free day

Next Thursday 25th April is a public holiday due to ANZAC Day, so there will be no school. Our students are invited to participate in the ANZAC Day march at Dimboola Memorial Secondary College. If students are attending, they are required to be at the gates of the High School, in their school uniform by 8:20am, ready for an 8:30am start. School captains from each school will be laying a wreath after the march. After this there is a formal ceremony in the High School Assembly Hall, which is organised by the RSL.

Student free day

Friday, April 26th is a student-free day, so there will be no school for students on this day.

Cross Country

Students have been busy practising for Cross Country. Each morning students run two laps of the cross-country course to build up their abilities for the event. This year our cross-country event will be run on Thursday May 2nd at 9:30am. Parents are invited to come and watch if they wish.
